[Photos] Legend Conversation Number 10 with Bun B

On December 5, 2023 we hosted Legend Conversation Number 10 with the one and only Bun B. Bun has a deep connection to Chicago and many friends here. As he told us during our hour-plus interview, he and Pimp C recorded UGK’s Ridin’ Dirty in Chicago in order to take advantage of a newly launched Pro Tools recording software.

Bun B also has a deep history with the Chicago community and Legend Conversation hosts, DJ RTC and Dave Jeff. Bun and Dave are part of the sneaker crew, Addicted to Fresh. Bun even referenced Dave in a song, which caused Dave to throw his phone across the room after hearing it for the first time. Bun and DJ RTC also go way back to the rubyhornet days. Bun is on Closed Sessions Vol. 1, appearing with GLC and BJ The Chicago Kid on “Happiness Before Riches”.

This Legend Conversation truly felt like old friends sharing stories and catching up. Chef Brian Fisher cooked up some delicious Trill Tacos, and we had custom cocktails from Johnnie Walker and Tres Generaciones, along with beer from homegrown brewery, Moors Beer. Jugrnaut created a tee merging Bun B and the Olajuwon era Rockets logo that we all grew up with.
