Announcing The 2020 Spring Semester Internships

Spring Semester Internship Alert.

We are seeking interns for the spring semester of 2020. All positions and requirements are posted below. If you want to gain hands-on experience in the music business, and see what life is like at an independent hip hop label, complete the application below.

Position: Marketing Intern
Description: The marketing intern will assist branding and partnership opportunities. Intern will also assist in Spotify, Soundcloud, and Youtube marketing campaigns, and work closely with content team. This intern will gain hands-on experience creating and executing marketing campaigns centered around audience engagement. 
Requirements: Applicant must have a functioning lap top computer, be familiar with streaming services, active on social media, and possess a hunger for up to date music marketing techniques and practices. Applicant should also have experience designing pitch decks, and some experience in photoshop or illustrator.

Position: Social Media / Marketing Intern
Description: This intern will work with our team to manage and update ClosedSessions.com with label and artist news. Intern will also create new content with CS artists and others that may include biographies, press releases, and one-sheets, as well as assist in CS social media.
Requirements: Applicant must have a functioning lap top computer, be familiar with Squarespace, possess excellent writing skills, be knowledgeable on current music content and marketing culture. 

Position: Journalism Intern
Description: We are seeking an intern to create editorial content for our editorial site, rubyhornet.com. This intern will conduct interviews, write music reviews, and learn how to manage a music blog.
Requirements: Applicant must have a functioning lap top computer, be familiar with Squarespace, possess excellent writing skills, as well as a deep hunger/passion for music journalism/blogging. 

Position:  Photo + Video Intern
Description: Capture and edit content at Closed Sessions events and studio sessions. 
Requirements: Good applicant will have his or her own equipment as well as editing software, can work well under pressure and get along well with people. Applicant must possess passion, skill and experience taking photographs of studio sessions, live events, and portraits.

Position: Graphic + Web Design Intern
Description: Looking for a talented artist to join to team and design single/album art, promo images, flyers, and present our music visually.
Requirements: A good applicant will have their own laptop, be well-versed in graphic design language and culture, and be able to work with artists in actualizing their ideas.
